Christine – NH senior pictures

Portraits under hot lights

Generally I disdain working under continuous lights – often called hot lights because the temperatures get so uncomfortable even the hardest-shelled ice maid would melt – but while at summer camp we did a lighting workshop with the photo students and opted for the two hot lights in softboxes as the easiest way for the folks to really see how light changed the subjects with manipulation. Jordan – Exeter senior pictures

It’s senior picture season – one of the great times of the year in my opinion. Ever since schools let go of the cookie-cutter approach to senior pictures, an incredibly creative avenue of photography has opened up.

Two days ago, Jordan and I – accompanied by an entourage of people, headed out to a local climbing area where he spends much of his free time bouldering and climbing. The day was intensely beautiful – warm but without humidity. (more…)

Ashley and Shaun – NH wedding photography

New Hampshire weather being as fickle as it is, Ashley, Shaun and I kept getting weathered out on our plans for an engagement shoot, but managed to squeeze it in short days before their wedding.

We caught a beautiful day to meander around Portsmouth’s Prescott Park and the area around it. Highlight of the day was a boat of fisherman watching the shoot and yelling their congratulations to the couple. (more…)
